Description of the internship in France as an Assistant to the Project Director

An Assistant Project Director in a volunteers' programme could be known by many titles, for instance Volunteers' Resource Manager, Volunteers' Project Manager, Volunteers' Coordinator, but whatever you call the position it has become one of the most respected in both the non-profit and profit making sectors.

The responsibilities that the position encompasses could be said to equal if not surpass those of an Entrepreneur or a Company Director! If you look at a typical Job Description for this post you will see why organizations in both sectors are head-hunting possible candidates. Add to this the intense language course you will receive, plus the opportunity to live and work in France and you have a unique cultural learning opportunity.

Teamwork and cooperation are central to our success, and your skill in these areas will be used, developed, or enhanced. Planning - human resources - Humans are the key asset or resource of both profit and non-profit organisations, so learning about human resource planning is a major part of this internship.
